Precautions on Adjusting
Note1:
Before performing the adjustments, check the data of page: 0,
address: 10 is “00”. If not, set data: 00 to this address.
1)
The adjustments of this unit are performed in the VTR mode
or camera mode.
To set to the VTR mode, set the power switch to “VCR” (or
“PLAYER”) or set the “Forced VTR Power ON mode” using
the adjustment remote commander (Note2).
To set to the Camera mode, set the power switch to “CAMERA”
or set the “Forced Camera Power ON mode” using the
adjustment remote commander (Note3).
After completing adjustments, be sure to exit the “Forced VTR
Power ON Mode” or “Forced Camera Power ON Mode”.
(Note5)
2)
The front panel block (Microphone unit, MA-424 board, FP-
633 flexible (MF sensor)) must be assembled for connecting
the adjustment remote commander. To remove it, disconnect
the following connector.
MA-424 board CN5903 (30P, 0.5mm)
3)
Cabinet (R) (CK-132board, LCD block) need not be connected.
But removing the cabinet (R) (removing the VC-316 board
CN1007) means removing the lithium 3V power supply (CK-
132 board, BT5201), data such as date, time, user-set menus
will be lost. After completing adjustments, reset these data.
But, the self-diagnosis data and the data on history of use (total
drum rotation time etc.) will be kept even if the cabinet (R) has
been removed. (Refer to “6-4.Service Mode” for the data on
the history use and the self-diagnosis data.)
To remove the cabinet (R), disconnect the following connector.
VC-316 board CN1007 (51P, 0.3mm)
4)
The EVF block (LB-088 board) is need not be connected. To
remove it, disconnect the following connector.
DI-089 board CN3201 (20P, 0.5mm)
5)
The intelligent accessory shoe is need not be connected. To
remove it, disconnect the following connector.
DI-089 board CN4001 (10P, 0.5mm)

The flash unit is need not be connected. To remove it, disconnect
the following connector.
DI-089 board CN4005 (33P, 0.3mm)
7)
To open the DI-089 board, use the following extension cable
between the DI-089 board CN4004 and VC-316 board CN1003.
J-6082-352-A (100P, 0.5mm)
8)
The CD-437 board of the lens block is must be connected,
because the timing generator (IC7501) is provided on the board.
9)
By setting the “Forced VTR Power ON mode”, the video section
can be operate even if the control switch block (PS-2890) has
been removed. When removing the control switch blocks (PS-
2890 and FK-4200) and the memory stick connector, disconnect
the following connector.
