Getting started
(1) Prepare the power source. See “Introduction – Basic operations” (p. 9) for more
information.
(2) Turn the grip to the cassette inserting/ejecting position .
(3) Slide OPEN/EJECT in the direction of the arrow and open the lid. The cassette

Your camcorder has operation buttons on the LCD screen. Press the LCD screen with
your finger or the supplied stylus (DCR-IP55 only) to operate each function. This
section describes how to operate the touch panel during recording or playing back
images on a tape.
