Make sure that the conductive side of a flexible board does not have any stain or foreign materials.
Do not touch the conductive side of flexible boards with bare hands.
Plug in a flexible board straight, fully into the connector until it reaches the end inside. (Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3)

When opening the connector's holder in direction A, do not open 
it with excessive force.

When closing the connector's holder, press it evenly while pushing 
a flexible board in direction B.

•  Make sure that the flat cable and flexible board are not cracked 

or bent at the contact end.

•  Do not apply excessive force to the gilded flexible board.

Cut and remove the part of gilt
which comes off at the point.
(Be careful or some
pieces of gilt may be left inside)

•  The proper way to disconnect a connector is to grab the con-

nector instead of the wires.  If you pull on the wires, they might 
be broken.

•  The proper way to connect a connector is to grab the connector 

instead of the wires.  If you push on the wires, they might be 
broken.

Carefully remove the Rotor Interlocking Ring or the Function 
Ring Block ASSY so as not to damage the Rotation Stopper 
Pins of the Cam Tube block.

  This lens can be disassembled from both directions of 1 

group lens side and mount side.

  While holding the MF Ring, remove the Fixed Barrel 

Block Assy.

  Before removing the Lens Block Assy, mark the installa-

tion position. When reassembling the Lens Block Assy, 

install it at the previous installation position.

  Be sure avoiding replacement of front ring as far as 

possible.

 

If replacement of it should be need, you convey the 

message to your user that changing of the  Carl Zeiss 

Serial No.  is needed, and then you may obtain user s 

agreement, and replace it.

  Usually, there is only one Focus Stopper Pin (4-104-

663-[][]) used in the MF Joint Tube Block Assy.

 

However, there will be two Focus Stopper Pins (4-104-

663-[][]) when the play of MF Ring is big.

The following shows notes for assembling and grease applying positions.

Bond (B-10) : J-6082-612-A

1.   Cut the tip of new brush with nippers.
2.   Install the brush and fix it with one screw.
3.   After adjusting the brush position, apply adhesive bond (B-10) to the head of screw.

1.   Install the two washers and the GMR flexible board, and tighten two screws.

 When installing the GMR flexible board, tighten two screws to the specified tightening torque paying attention not to deform it.

2.   Apply adhesive bond (B-10) to the head of screws.

0.12

1.   Install the sensor ring block assy and three washers, and tighten three screws.
2.   Apply bond (B-10) to fix the screws, washers, and the sensor ring block assy.

1.   Stick the gasket as shown below and apply bond (B-10) to fix the fixed barrel block assy and the gasket.

1.   Install a back washer at the position shown below, and tighten three screws.

1.   Overlap back adjustment washers with the B/L flexible board as shown below, and secure them.

1.   Dip the main spring in grease (O-20) and dry it for about five minutes.
