5-2-2. Zoom Adjustment
The Zoom Over Run/Focus Back Lash Adjustment order is as follows.
Perform the Zoom adjustment in the condition the camera stands up in the horizontal plane.
Adjusting in other conditions causes a malfunction of the zoom adjustment.
The adjustment finished normally.

Set the camera to the adjustment mode.

Place the camera in the horizontal plane.
Press the control button “ V (Key Down)”, then Zoom Adjustment starts.

5-2-3. Far Focus Adjustment
Note: 
When using the Flange back adjustment jig, take care of the following points:
•  For the illumination, use a light source such as an incandescent lamp or inverter type fluorescent light free from flickering.
•  Do not make an adjustment in the environment where fluorescent lamp flickering occurs even if the illuminance can be ensured with the room 
illumination only.
Use an incandescent lamp or inverter type fluorescent light at a place free from the influence of room illumination.
1)  Install the Flange back adjustment jig so that the distance between 
it and the front of lens of camera is 3 cm or less.
Note:
  Take care not to hit the Flange back adjustment jig when extend-
ing the lens.
2)  Make the height of Flange back adjustment jig and the camera equal.
3)  Check that the center of chart meets the center of shot image screen 
with the zoom lens at TELE end and WIDE end respectively.
Color temperature = 5000 ± 300K
Be sure not to turn off the power during adjusting.
The adjustment finished normally.
O Far Focus Station Passed

Place the camera in front of the Flange back adjustment jig. (Fig. 5-2-19)
Press the control button “ b (Key Left)”, then Far Focus Adjustment starts.
In case of the adjustment is finished normally,
the adjustment completion indication appears

Turn off the power to quit the adjustment mode.

5-2-4. Near Focus Adjustment
Note:
  Perform the Near Focus Adjustment after the Far Focus Adjustment.
1)  Be sure to set 50 ± 1 cm distance between the chart and the tip of camera lens.
2)  Check that the center of chart meets the center of shot image screen with the zoom 
lens at TELE end and WIDE end respectively.
Color temperature = 5000 ± 300K
Be sure not to turn off the power during adjusting.
The adjustment finished normally.
O Near Focus Station Passed

Place the camera in front of the Chart. (Fig. 5-2-22)
Press the control button “ B (Key Right)”, then Near Focus Adjustment starts.

In case of the adjustment is finished normally,

Turn off the power to quit the adjustment mode.

In case of the adjustment is finished abnormally,
the following indication appears on the screen.
In this case, confirm the adjusting environment
and readjust.
In case of the Near Focus adjustment is failed,
readjust the Far Focus adjustment and try to
readjust the Near Focus adjustment.

The White Balance Adjustment is as follows.
Small pattern box (PTB-1450) setting: 
Color temperature = 3150 ± 50K
Luminance: LV12.3 ± 0.2
The adjustment finished normally.

  If this screen appears, perform the following procedure to make the 
adjustment again.
 
Readjustment restores normal state of the unit.
1.   Turn off the unit.
2.   Take the battery out of the unit.
3.   Load the battery in the unit and start the unit in the Adjustment 
mode.
4.   Make the adjustment again.

5-2-6. Set Language Destination
Language Destination Setting:
Save “lang.txt” in the root directory of the SD-Card or 
Memory Stick PRO Duo
 being used.
The content of “lang.txt” is as follows: 
Language Destination (for example: E37) (enter key)
Product ID (10bit) (enter key) (refer to “5-3 PRODUCT ID LIST”)
S/N (7bit) (enter key)
The following is an example of E37 Language Destination Setting for DSC-W620 Silver camera.

Especially Attention:
1)  The enter key must be the end symbol of each row.
2)  For the Product ID, refer to “5-3 PRODUCT ID LIST”, and the Product ID must be 10bit.
 
If the Product ID is less than 10 bit, add 0 before the Product ID.
3)  The S/N must be 7 bit. It refer to the serial number of shipment.
The adjustment is finished abnormally.
Read Language NG!
Malfunction of Set Language 
Destination
In case of the Set Language 
Destination is failed, reset the 
language destination.
Adjustment order
Set the camera to the adjustment mode.
Confirm the indication
on the screen.
