1-4. “PMB Portable” INSTALLATION
1-4-1. How to Install “PMB Portable”
To install “PMB Portable” is first install “Picture Motion Browser” to personal compuer and re-install “PMB Portable” with the maintenance
tool.
At this time the destination and language of “PMB Portable” is the same as them of “Picture Motion Browser” selected on installation.
“PMB Portable” is different in destinations and languages, so there are seven kinds of installers. For details, refer to Fig. 1.
1-4-2. How to Install Other Destinations and Languages “PMB Portable”
There are two procedures of installation.
Procedure 1:
Uninstall “Picture Motion Browser” installed in the personal computer, re-install the other destination and language “Picture Motion
Browser” you want and install “PMB Portable” again.
For the destinations and languages of “PMB Portable”, refer to Fig. 1.
Procedure 2:
Get “PMB Portable” files from the service headquarters and copy “app” folder for “PMB Portable” you want to the internal memory in the
set.
The “app” folder for “PMB Portable” is different in destinations and languages, so there are seven kinds of installers. For details, refer to
Fig. 1.
The application “PMB Portable” is not installed in the SY180-MC186 board for repair.
On board replacement, it is necessary to re-install the “PMB Portable” for each destination and language.
Please confirm “PMB Portable” works normally after installing “PMB Portable” or overwriting “app” folder.

1-5. COUNTERMEASURE AGAINST FLASH ERROR
When “FLASH error”  (Self-diagnosis Code  E : 91 : 01) occurs, to prevent any abnormal situation caused by high voltage, setting of the flash
is changed automatically to disabling charge and flash setting.
After fixing, this setting needs to be deactivated. Flash error code can be initialized by the operations on the HOME screen.
How to Initialize the Flash Error Code
Initializes the setting to the default setting. Even if you execute this function, the images
stored in the internal memory are retained.
1
Touch [Initialize].
The message “Initialize all settings” appears.
2
Touch [OK].
The settings are reset to the default setting.
To cancel the resetting
Touch [Cancel] or [BACK] in step
2
.
• Make sure that the power is not disconnected during resetting.

1-6. HOW TO COPY/ERASE THE DATA IN INTERNAL MEMORY
In case of writing the image data in the personal computer to the internal memory
Perform [Write to other media] in “Picture Motion Browser” functions.
Or move the image data to “Memory Stick Duo” and perform [Import image data] function.
(In case of copying data from personal computer to “Memory Stick Duo” with Explorer function of Microsoft Windows, the set cannot
recognize the data information because of the data information cannot write in the data folder for the album information.)
You can copy (export) images in the internal memory to “Memory Stick Duo”.
Each time you export images, a new folder will be created.
Use “Memory Stick Duo” with sufficient memory space.
Use a battery fully charged. Copying images while using a battery with low charge may
cause data transfer failure or cause damage to the data, due to running out of the battery.
Data in the internal memory will not be deleted after data transfer.
 (This Image)
You can copy the selected image from the internal memory to
“Memory Stick Duo”.
 (Whole Album)
You can copy all the images in Album from the internal memory
to “Memory Stick Duo”.
 (All In Favorites)
You can copy all the images in Favorites from the internal
memory to “Memory Stick Duo”.
 (All In Sharemark)
You can copy all the images in Sharemark from the internal
memory to “Memory Stick Duo”.
The data can be copied/erased by the operations on the HOME screen.
How to Copy the Data in Internal Memory
Note:
When you format the internal memor, the embeded application “PMB Portable” will be erased together with the images. If you
accidentally erase “PMB Portable”, re-install it from the maintenance tool included in “Picture Motion Browser”.
How to Format the Internal Memory
Formats the internal memory.
Note that formatting permanently erases all data in the internal memory, including even protected images.
1
Touch [Format].
The message “All data in internal memory will be erased” appears.
2
Touch [OK].
Formatting starts.
To cancel formatting
Touch [Cancel] or [BACK] in step 2.

Precautions for Replacement of Imager
• If the imager has been replaced, carry out all the adjustments
for the camera section.
• As the imager may be damaged by static electricity from
its structure, handle it carefully like for the MOS IC.
In addition, ensure that the receiver is not covered with
dusts nor exposed to strong light.
The components identified by mark
0
 or dotted line with
mark

 are critical for safety.
Replace only with part number specified.
Les composants identifiés par une marque
