8. Turn the Naruto Gear in the arrow direction to extend the Lens Barrel to the center of TELE and WIDE.
9. Remove the Flexible Boards from the Ribs and the Boss and store the Flexible Boards in the Lens Barrel.
10. Turn the Naruto Gear in the arrow direction to return to the WIDE end.
11. Remove the Naruto Gear.
12. Detach the Stationary Tube.
13. Turn the Cam Tube in the arrow direction to detach the 1 Group Frame Block Assy, Straight Tube (A) Block Assy.
14. Detach the 1 Group Frame Block Assy from the Straight Tube (A) Block Assy.

17. Match the marks of the Cam Tube and the Linear Guide Tube (B).
18. Detach the Linear Guide Tube (B) from the Cam Tube.

15. Set the      Mark of the Linear Guide Tube (B) at the first gear tooth of the Cam Tube.
16. Remove the 3 Group Frame Block Assy and the 2 Group Frame Block Assy.

Installation
1. While matching the marks of the Linear Guide Tube (B) and the Cam Tube, assemble these parts.
2. Set the     Mark of the Linear Guide Tube (B) at the first gear tooth of the Cam Tube.
3. Install the 2 Group Frame Block Assy at a position where the      Mark of the Linear Guide Tube (B) matches CAV No. of 
    the 2 Group Frame Block Assy.
4. Install the 3 Group Frame Block Assy at a position where the      Mark of the Linear Guide Tube (B) matches the hole of the 
    3 Group Frame Block Assy.
5. Set the     Mark of the Linear Guide Tube (B) at the first gear tooth of the Cam Tube.
6. Match the Mark of the Cam Tube with the concave portion of the 1 Group Frame Block Assy.
7. Install the Cam Tube and the 1 Group Frame Block Assy, and turn the Cam Tube.

10. Turn the Cam Tube counterclockwise to the maximum extent.

12. Check that the five Helicoids are engaged with the grooves.

Match CAV No. inside the Straight Tube (A) Block Assy with the concave portion position of the 1 Group 
Frame Block Assy.
Push the Straight Tube (A) Block Assy in the arrow direction with the Cam Tube turned clockwise to the 
maximum extent.
While matching the Helicoid near the     Mark with the groove near the Naruto Gear of the Stationary 
Tube, assemble the Stationary Tube.

13. Install the Naruto Gear.
14. Turn the Naruto Gear in the arrow direction to extend the Lens Barrel to the center of TELE and WIDE.
15. Pull the Flexible Boards out of the Lens Barrel and fix the Flexible Boards with the Boss and the Ribs.
16. Turn the Naruto Gear in the arrow direction to return to the WIDE end.
17. Install the LF-155 Flexible Boards.
18. Connect the Flexible Boards to the connectors.
19. Install the Rear Tube Mirror Block.

20. Connect the Flexible Board (Focus) to the connector.
21. Install the FPC Retainer and a screw.
22. Install the Zoom Gear Assy (1560).

1-10. FINAL INSPECTION
1-10-1. Confirm There Is No Fault In Actual Motion/Actual Screen

Note: As for the figure below, this model and the shape
of the main body are different.
Inspect it as follows when you exchange parts in the lens block.
Zoom motion (Check five postures: horizontal, upward/downward, upper/lower oblique 45º)
No abnormal sound or motion must be found over full stroke between TELE end and WIDE end.
Zoom image
No abnormality such as a skipped image or wavy image must be found in the image through LCD or finder over full stroke between
TELE end and WIDE end.
Barrier (Check five postures: horizontal, upward/downward, upper/lower oblique 45º)
The barrier must be opened and closed fully, free from a sticking in the midway.
No abnormal sound must be heard during the operation.
Appearance condition
Scratches or stains must not be noticeable, except that the customer permits them.
Foreign matters on the lens
The lens condition must not be worse than that when the camera was received from the customer.

  Preparation
 
•  Camera installed re-assemble lens.
 
•  Chart (Printed PDF file at the same magnification) (Refer to <Reference>)

  Shoot setting
 
(1)  Paste the chart.
 
•  Chart should be on the flat wall.
 
•  Illuminance level in the chart should be the same.
 
•  Make the tripod’s height and the center of the chart to the same height.
 
•  Enough space needed for shooting.
 
(2)  Set the camera.
 
•  Set [P] mode
 
•  Set [Maximum] size
 
•  Set ISO lowest level
 
•  Set Steady Shot [OFF]
 
•  Set Flash [OFF]
 
(3)  Set the camera on a tripod.
 
(4)  Adjust the position of the camera and the chart.
 
1. Set the zoom position of the camera at Wide end.
 
2. Attach the mirror onto the center of the chart.
 
    * The mirror should not tilt on the chart.
 
3. Set the camera to display the chart on LCD like in the following picture.
 
4. Adjust the camera position to the center of the chart.
 
    * Adjust the tripod height and the position (Lateral direction).
 
5. Adjust the camera angle to the frame of the chart with tripod.
 
    Remove the mirror.

  Shooting
      (1)  Set [Self-Timer]
      (2)  Shot

  Check the shot image.
      (1)  Check the shot image on PC.
 
100% Display (Display at the same magnification of its Pixel.)
 
Compare the image with the sample you set.
      No extreme focus blurring
      It should be distinguished the black and white by the sharpness between them.
      If it is in NG level, replace the lens unit.

•     How to Print the Chart
      Print “Focus-Chart_A3.pdf” with printer.
      Print at the same magnification (It means 100 % size).
      Check the settings of printer to print in proper size.
•     Check of chart size.
      Make charts together and check if the size of charts is the following size.
      * The chart consists of 2 pcs.
