Turn the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated counterclockwise to the maximum.
Turn the objective side upward.
Push up the Lens Assy from the eyepiece side with fingers and remove it from the objective side of the Liner Guide Tube B
Lubricated.
Note: Do not touch the 2 Lens Assy lens with fingers.

Separate the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated from the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated.

Match the projection having a bias coma with the perpendicular groove that overlaps with the gear, and insert the three
projections of the 2 Lens Assy into the three perpendicular grooves of the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated.
Turn the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated clockwise to the maximum.

Match the bias coma with the cabinet number position, and insert the three projections of the 3 Lens Assy into the three
perpendicular grooves of the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated.
Turn the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated clockwise to the maximum.

Set the bias coma, the gear, and the cam groove inlet positions as shown in the figure, and insert the three projections
(inner diameter) of the 1 Lens Assy into the three cam grooves of the Cam Tube Lubricated Assy.
Match the bias coma with the perpendicular groove beside the cabinet number, and insert the three projections of the 1 lens Assy
into the three perpendicular grooves of the Liner Guide Tube A Assy.

Turn the Liner Guide Tube A Assy clockwise to the maximum while holding the Cam Tube Lubricated Assy.
(When the Liner Guide Tube A Assy is turned fully, the 1 lens block is slightly extended as shown in the figure.)

Return the Liner Guide Tube A Assy a little so that the projections of the Liner Guide Tube A Assy come to the positions shown in
the figure.
Turn the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated clockwise to a position a little before the position where the two projections of the Liner
Guide Tube B Lubricated align completely with the two projections of the Liner Guide Tube A Assy.
Note: Be careful so that the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated is not ahead of the Liner Guide Tube A Assy.
While holding the two projections of the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated and the two projections of the Liner Guide Tube A Assy to
prevent them from turning, turn the Cam Tube Lubricated Assy clockwise to the maximum to set the camera body in the retracted
state.

Set the Flexible Board and the Naruto Gear insertion hole as shown in the figure, and then install the Main Unit to the Stationary
Tube while inserting the projection A of the Liner Guide Tube B Lubricated into the perpendicular groove A.

Turn the Naruto Gear jig clockwise to set the camera body in the TELE end state.
Note: Turn the Naruto Gear jig to the maximum.
Pass the Flexible Board through the hole and clamp it with the boss.

While fitting the Stationary Tube hole A with the boss A of the Rear Mirror Plate Assy, install the Main Unit to the Rear Mirror Plate
Assy.
Turn the eyepiece side upward.
Tighten four screws.
Note: Tighten screws in the order shown in the figure.
*Tightening torque = 0.05

Turn the Naruto Gear jig counterclockwise to set the camera body in the retracted state.
Note: Turn the Naruto Gear jig to the maximum.
Attach the Naruto Gear.

Apply solder at two points and insert the two sensors into the Gear Case Assy.
Install the FG Plate Spring while locking the claw and the boss.
Install the Gear Case Assy to the camera body and tighten a screw.

1-8.  FINAL INSPECTION
1-8-1. Confirm There is No Fault in Actual Motion/Actual Screen

Full stroke check
Inspect it as follows when you exchange parts in the lens block.

Zoom motion (Check five postures: horizontal, upward/downward, upper/lower oblique 45º)
No abnormal sound or motion must be found over full stroke between TELE end and WIDE end.
Zoom image
No abnormality such as a skipped image or wavy image must be found in the image through LCD or finder over full stroke between
TELE end and WIDE end.
Barrier (Check five postures: horizontal, upward/downward, upper/lower oblique 45º)
The barrier must be opened and closed fully, free from a sticking in the midway.
No abnormal sound must be heard during the operation.
Appearance condition Scratches or stains must not be noticeable, except that the customer permits them.
Foreign matters on the lens The lens condition must not be worse than that when the camera was received from the customer.
