SECTION 8
TEST MODE
This unit is provided with the test mode for adjustments (Details are provided in the Service Manual) and a test mode
which displays the internal state of the mechanism microprocessor and how long the drum has been operating memorized
in the EEPROM (IC517). To set this latter test mode, it is necessary to use the RM-D55A or RM-D868 remote
commander shown in

9-1. Operations of Mode
(1) OPEN (EJECT)

Operation when the cassette is loaded in the cassette compartment in the OPEN (EJECT) state and the OPEN/
CLOSE or STOP button is pressed.
CLOSE or STOP button is pressed.
1. Load a tape in the cassette compartment.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE or STOP button.
3. The caste compartment motor (M1) rotates in the CLOSE direction.
4. The holder closes (cassette compartment).
5. The cassette compartment lock (CLOSE) completion detection switch (S11) turns ON and the cassette
compartment motor stops. (Upper left of Fig. 2)
6. The loading motor (M901) rotates in the loading direction. (Bottom of Fig. 2)
7. The loading mechanism performs loading operations.
8. The load completion detection switch (S903) turns ON and the loading motor stops.
