AGING MODE
1-1.
CONNECTION  AND  PREPARATION
Before entering the aging mode, connect as shown below, load a
writable disc (MD) into the HMD-M11 and set three discs (CD)
into the CDP-M11C.

RELEASING  THE  AGING  MODE
In the aging mode, press any button on HMD-M11, then press
POWER button on HMD-M11, and the power goes in OFF sta-
tus, then the set becomes ready for normal operation.

OPERATION  IN  AGING  MODE
When the aging mode is activated, 4 cycle aging 
 10 minute CD
sync. dubbing are repeatedly executed until any button is pressed.
During a cycle aging, normal display is made (if an error occurs,
the operation stops with an error message kept displayed).  Dur-
ing 10 minute CD sync. dubbing, MD retry count and a cause of
retry are displayed with a hexadecimal number, and also CD sound
skip count is displayed.

SETTING  THE  AGING  MODE
With the power in OFF status, press
=0 button and
VOL + button on the HMD-M11 simultaneously, and the aging
mode is activated.

How to Use Table 1-1.:
Use table 1-1. by converting hexadecimal number of each digit
into decimal number (see table 1-2).  If an error occurred by two
or more causes, respective numbers are added.
