SECTION  3
TEST  MODE
1.  PANEL  TEST 
Procedure:
1.  The [POWER] switch is set [ON] to turn the main power on.
2.  While pressing the [S-AIR MODE] and [SYSTEM MENU] 
buttons, press the [PAIRING] button.
3.  Then all segments of fl uorescent indicator tube are turned on 
and all LEDs are lighted.
4.  Press the [SYSTEM MENU] button, the model name is dis-
played on the fl uorescent indicator tube.
5.  Each time [SYSTEM MENU] button is pressed, the display 
changes starting from model name, destination, MC, SYS, UI, 
ST and AR version this order, and returns to the model name 
display.
6.  Press the [ILLUMINATION] button, the version is displayed 
changes to last updated date displayed.
7.  Press the [S-AIR MODE] button, the messages “K 0” is 
displayed on the fl uorescent indicator tube. All buttons are 
pressed, display becomes “K 7”.
8.  To release from this mode, while pressing the [S-AIR MODE] 
and [SYSTEM MENU] buttons, press the [PAIRING] button.
2.  FACTORY  PRESET
Procedure:
1.  The [POWER] switch is set [ON] to turn the main power on.
2.  While pressing the [S-AIR MODE] and [TUNING/SELECT 
–] buttons, press the [PAIRING] button.
3.  The messages “TUNER” appears and initialization is per-
formed, and the messages “FM 87.50” appears.
3.  S-AIR  TEST
3-1.  S-AIR test mode
Setting method:
1.  The [POWER] switch is set [ON] to turn the main power on.
2.  While pressing the [S-AIR MODE] and [TUNING/SELECT 
+] buttons, press the [PAIRING] button.
3.  Entered the S-AIR test mode.
4.  It returns to the S-AIR test mode each item when [SYSTEM 
MENU] button is pressed after it enters each item.
5.  To release from this mode, while pressing the [S-AIR MODE] 
and [TUNING/SELECT +] buttons, press the [PAIRING] but-
ton.
3-1-1. Power setting
This mode is setting of radio wave output of EZW-RT10A.
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “POWER”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button the messages “000 SET” is dis-
played on the fl uorescent indicator tube.
4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select the radio wave output. (OFF or 000 to 063)
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.
3-1-2.  RF CH check
This mode is RF CH used is confi rmed.
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “CHK RFCH”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button the messages “*** CH#” is dis-
played on the fl uorescent indicator tube.

4.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.
3-1-3.  ENC key change
This mode is setting of code key on/off change of EZW-RT10A.
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “ENC KEY”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button the messages “ON” or “OFF” is 
displayed on the fl uorescent indicator tube.
4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select the “ON” or “OFF”.
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode menu.
3-1-4. Version check
This mode is S-AIR version of the set connected with AIR-SA17Ti 
is confi rmed.
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “VER. CHEC”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button, S-AIR version of the set connected 
with AIR-SA17Ti is displayed on the fl uorescent indicator.
4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons, change the version and date displayed.
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.
3-1-5.  DARR setting check
This mode is setting of EZW-RT10A is confi rmed.
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “DARR”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button, main unit connect code is displayed 
on the fl uorescent indicator.
4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons, change sub unit connection number, sub unit connect 
code and sub unit address this order, and returns to the main 
unit connect code display.
 
CO ****: main unit connect code
 
MUCNT **: sub unit connectoin number
 
MUCO****: sub unit connect code
 
MUADR **: sub unit address
 
NAMG ***: NAMG setting value
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.

3-1-6.  Channel pipe setting
This mode is channel pipe is setting.
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “CH1 PIPE” (or “CH2 PIPE”, “CH3 PIPE”, 
“CH4 PIPE”).
3.  Press the [ENTER] button, the messages “CH* - CH#” is dis-
played on the fl uorescent indicator tube.
 
*: channel number of selected step 2

4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select channel pipe setting.
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.
3-1-7.   NAMG setting
This mode is change of NAMG setting. 
Procedure:
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “NAMG”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button the messages “*** SET” is dis-
played on the fl uorescent indicator tube.
 
***: 107 to 117 or AUTO
4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select the NAMG setting value.
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.
 
(This mode setting value is buck up even if it turns off power)
3-1-8. DEMO setting
This mode is radio wave does setting change to improve connec-
tion by batch processing in shop etc. when connection does not go 
well badly.
Procedure: 
1.  Enter the S-AIR test mode.
2.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select “DEMO”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button the messages “ON” or “OFF” is 
displayed on the fl uorescent indicator tube.
4.  Press the [TUNING/SELECT +]/[TUNING/SELECT –] but-
tons to select the “ON” or “OFF”.
 
ON: batch processing on
 
OFF: batch processing off (default)
5.  Press the [ENTER] button, return to S-AIR test mode each 
item.
4.  COLD  RESET
Procedure:
1.  The [POWER] switch is set [ON] to turn the main power on.
2.  Press the [SYSTEM MENU] button, and press the [TUNING/
SELECT +] button to select “RESET”.
3.  Press the [ENTER] button twice.
4.  The cold reset is executed.

ELECTRICAL  CHECK
FM  TUNE  LEVEL  CHECK

Procedure:
1.  Turn on the set.
2.  Input the following signal from signal generator to FM antenna 
input directly.
Carrier frequency : A = 87.5 MHz, B = 98 MHz, C = 108 MHz
Deviation 
: 75 kHz
Modulation 
: 1 kHz
ANT input 
: 35 dBu (EMF)
Note: Use 75 ohm coaxial cable to connect signal generator and the set. 
You cannot use video cable for checking.
 
Use signal generator whose output impedance is 75 ohm.
3.  Set to FM tuner function and tune A, B and C signals.
4. Confi rm “TUNED” is lit on the display for A, B and C signals.
When the selected station signal is received in good condition, 
“TUNED” is displayed.
