Connecting to the network
To enjoy inter
net services, you need to connect the
TV to a r
outer with a high speed connection to the
inter
net. Y
ou can also connect the TV to your Home
network server thr
ough a r
outer or access point. The
TV connection to the r
outer can either be wir
ed or
wir
eless.
NOTE
•
If you choose a wir
ed connection to the r
outer
, you need
an ETHERNET cable (commer
cially available).
•
If you do not have a br
oadband inter
net connection,
consult the stor
e wher
e you pur
chased your TV or ask
your inter
net service pr
ovider or telephone company
.
•
An Ether
net and wir
eless connection cannot be used at
the same time. Use only one of the connection types.
•
A wir
eless LAN connection and performance cannot
be guaranteed for all r
esidential envir
onments. In the
following cases, the wir
eless LAN signal may be poor or
dr
op, or the connection speed may become slower
.
−
When used in buildings made with concr
ete,
reinfor
ced steel, or metal
−
When placed near objects that obstruct the signal
−
When used with other wir
eless devices that emit the
same fr
equency
−
When used in the vicinity of micr
owave ovens and
other devices that emit a magnetic field, electr
ostatic
char
ge, or electr
omagnetic interfer
ence
•
A stable connection speed is r
equir
ed to play back
str
eaming content. Use an Ether
net connection if the
wir
eless LAN speed is unstable.
•
Please use Category 5 ETHERNET cable.
Wir
ed installation
Use an ETHERNET cable to connect the ETHERNET terminal on the TV to your br
oadcast r
outer as
shown below
. This is r
ecommended when enjoying
services which r
equir
e stable connection speeds,
such as str
eaming media.
