10.1
Introduction
Before you start to upgrade new code, we suggest you setup the environment first.
This chapter lists setup requirements, guides you to setup your environment.
10.2
Connect to ISP Board to upgrade the boot loader.
Use USB cable connecting PC & ISP board and use UART/HDMI cable connecting
ISP board & MTK Board.
► Unzip USB2COM Driver .zip to C:\
I. PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1.7.0.exe
II. Double click exe file to install driver.
► Unzip FlashTool .zip to C:\

Example :
1. PC Connected to ISP board (By USB cable).
2. a) Method one: ISP board connected to TV (By UART cable).
Or b) Method two: ISP board connected to TV (By HDMI cable).
I. Double click FlashTool.exe to start.
II. Set (MT53XX → RS232 → COM_Port → 115200 → Connect → FW_Upgrade
→
Nor Flash
).
(Hint: In above
RED
highlight section, if your TV is SHARP_EU &
SHARP_EU_2G you must select
Nor Flash, and if your TV is SHARP_UK, you
must select
Nand Flash)

III. Please select (
*_loader.bin
) to Upgrade.
(Hint: If your TV is SHARP_UK, you must enter “ef” command in the “Load Bin
File” field and Click ‘Upgrade’ button to erase Nand Flash memory at first, and
next step to select
*_loader.bin
to Upgrade)
IV. Finish Upgrade.

Connect to TV USB port to upgrade the software firmware
Please follow the following steps to upgrade the firmware.
I. Copy
*.pkg file to USB drive at root directory.
II. Insert the USB drive to TV USB port.
III. TV AC power off → AC power on
IV. TV will upgrade by detecting the correct
*.pkg file.
Hint:
TV detects the
RED
prefix text of
*.pkg file name to judge different models, the following is
different models prefix text.
