Subject : Poor teletext reception
SYMPTOM Teletext not functioning on Channel 4 on certain transmitters only.
CAUSE
Alterations to teletext specifications.
ACTION
Carry out the following circuit alterations to the video PWB using the parts listed below:
1.
Remove SMD capacitor C874.
2.
Remove SMD resistor R830.
3.
Remove diode D810.
4.
Replace SMD resistor R825 (2.2k
6) with a SMD 1.8k6.
5.
Add 100pF capacitor (on copper side of PWB) across R871.
6.
Fit a 100pF SMD capacitor in position marked C240.
7.
Re-assemble and test.
