NVM Adjustment Procedure
REASON        When changing the NVM (IC1003) in any of the above models, please note the
following:
What happens after the NVM has been replaced
When the power is first applied, the processor detects that the NVM is blank and programs it
using data from the OTP (IC1002).  This process takes about 40 to 60 seconds to complete.
During this time the set will not appear to start up (power supply running, but no line drive).  If
for any reason the set is turned off during programming process, the data will be corrupted.
DO NOT interrupt this programming process.
Service Mode
When entering the service mode for the first time after replacing the NVM, the menu may not be
visible due to incorrect setting of the vertical shift adjustment.  After entering the test mode,
carry out the following procedure to adjust the vertical shift position.
1  Press the channel up button once and a test pattern will appear.
2  Keep pressing the channel up button until the test pattern disappears.
3  Press the channel down button once.
4  You are now at the vertical shift adjustment, using the volume buttons shift the vertical scan
up.
5  When you can see the menu, press the standby button (on the remote control) to store the
data.
Setting the NVM
The table below details what data should be entered into the NVM to reset the usage counters
and to ensure that the position of the half screen teletext picture is correct.  Note that the usage
counters appear whenever the test mode is first entered.
