REASON
To reduce patterning on the later version of the above model, the processor (IC1001)
and several other components were changed.
ACTION
As the two processors are not directly interchangeable, it is important that the circuit is
identified before replacing IC1001.  If the incorrect IC is fitted, then the receiver will not
operate.
If an 18MHz crystal is fitted in position X1001, use the Service Manual parts list to
identify the circuit components – IC1001 part number is RH-IX1655BMN0 or RH-
IX1655BMN1 (both parts are fully interchangeable).
If a 6MHz crystal is fitted in position IC1001, use the parts listings and diagrams given
below for differences to the Service Manual – IC1001 part number is RH-
IX1655BMN2.

R1090 is fitted on the underside of the PWB between IC1001 pins 36 and 37.
R1092 is fitted on the underside of the PWB between IC1001 pins 14 and +5V supply.
C1036 is fitted on the underside of the PWB between the junction of L1004, L1005,
and ground.
