REASON
Improvement of heat dissipation for IC501.
ACTION
When replacing IC501, fit a heatsink as described below. If the heatsink is already
Fitted, replace with a new one.
Fitted, replace with a new one.
Before fitting the heatsink, remove the protective film as shown in Figure 1, below:

Mother Unit PWB, Version N6 and above
1. Replace IC501.
2. Fix the heatsink to the IC501, passing the leg through the hole as in Figure 2.
3. Solder the heatsink leg by copper side.
2. Fix the heatsink to the IC501, passing the leg through the hole as in Figure 2.
3. Solder the heatsink leg by copper side.

1. Replace IC501.
2. Add Jumper JF61 to the component side of the PWB - see Figure 3.
3. Bend the heatsink leg as shown in Figure 4.
4. Fix the heatsink to IC501, passing the bent leg under JF61 Jumper as shown in

3. Bend the heatsink leg as shown in Figure 4.
4. Fix the heatsink to IC501, passing the bent leg under JF61 Jumper as shown in
Figure 5.
5. Solder the heatsink leg to JF61.
