Projector does not turn on (Power LED Flashes Red)

If the projector is turned off with component input connected the projector will not resume
from standby mode.

Before you upgrade the Firmware
1. Copy the following software on the PC.

   

SUK_V10X_write.ZIP : compression file.
2. Unpack the software "SUK_V10X_write.ZIP".

Upgrading the Firmware
1. Turn on the power of V10XE (with the lamp on).
2. Enter factory adjust mode.

       

The following key sequence accesses the service menu:

       

mute / mute / vol up / vol down / enter / enter / menu

3. Select the following group and subjects.

- group   : SPECIAL
- subject : IPL

4. When the cursor position is on IPL, press the ENTER of V10XE's operation key.

   

The lamp will turn off, and ready the projector is now ready for firmware update.

5. Connect RS-232C-IN port on the projector to RS-232C port on the computer with a RS-
232C cross cable.
6. Execute the program file named " bhx_write.bat "

7. When the firmware upgrade is being done normally, the numerical value of the screen
is counted.

   

When writing is finished, " COM1:Transfer completion " is indicated on the screen.

  

(When "ERR" is indicated, execute from the process of No.1 again)

Note
If the firmware upgrade is stopped during writing, the V10XE sometimes stops turning on.
In this case, open the top cabinet, and move the writing switch of the PC board to the
write side. Then, turn on the power of V10XE (with the lamp off), and execute from the
process of No.6 again.
When writing is finished, move the writing switch of the PC board to the normal side.

8. Turn off the power of V10XE. The firmware upgrade has now finished.
