Exclusions to 3 year Warranty
The following are excluded from the terms of this warranty:-
a)
Accidental damage, misuse, abuse or neglect, ie lack of required regular maintenance as outlined in the
unit’s Operational Manual. This warranty does not cover replacement of LCD Prism and Optical filters
damaged due to excessive internal heat build up caused by lack of routine maintenance and/or burnt

e)

f)
General wear and tear which includes the following limited conditions of use:-
Requirement of replacement of the LCD Prism or Optical Filters if 4,500 hours of use has been exceeded
within the 3yr-warranty period. This equates to an approximate usage figure of six hours per day, five days
per week, which Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd, consider to be normal operating conditions of use.
g)
Supplied accessories.
h)
Projection lamps (90 day Warranty only).

Exclusions to 90-Day Lamp Warranty
The following are excluded from the terms of this warranty:-
a)
Accidental damage, misuse, abuse or neglect, ie lack of required regular maintenance as outlined in the
unit’s Operational Manual. This warranty does not cover replacement lamps damaged due to excessive
internal heat build up caused by lack of routine maintenance caused by excessive ingress of dust particles
or exposure to smoky atmospheres.
b)

A faulty projection lamp that does not strike up on initial power on can be the cause of the unit appearing as being
faulty. In this situation you are strongly advised to replace the lamp at your own cost or, if the lamp is within the 90
day warranty period, follow the procedure of obtaining a free replacement lamp via the lamp warranty scheme,

The warning lights on the projector indicate problems inside the projector.
•
If a problem occurs, either the temperature warning indicator or the lamp replacement
indicator will illuminate red, and the power will turn off. After the power has been turned
off, follow the procedures given below.
About the temperature warning
indicator
About the lamp replacement
indicator
If the temperature inside the projector increases, due
to blockage of the air vents, or the setting location,
“TEMP ” will blink in the lower left corner of the
picture. If the temperature keeps on rising, the lamp
will turn off and the temperature warning indicator
will blink, the cooling fan will run for further 90
seconds, then the power will be shut off. After
“TEMP” appears, be sure to perform the following
measures.
•
When the remaining lamp life becomes 5% or
less, “Lamp Warning Icon” will be displayed on
the screen in yellow. When the percentage
becomes 0%, “Lamp Warning Icon” (red) will be
displayed, the lamp will automatically turn off
and then the projector as well. At this time, the
lamp replacement indicator will illuminate in red.
•
If you try to turn on the projector a fourth time
without replacing the lamp, the projector will not
turn on.
