Initialization of EEPROM
1. Turn on the power (lamp lit) and carry out 
    aging operation for 15 minutes.
1. Configure settings as shown below.
    Press “S2551” to enter the process mode and 
    execute “SS2” of the SS menu.

CW index adjustment
1. Signal input: Input the 256-STEP color bar.
    XGA model: XGA 60Hz
    SVGA model: SVGA 60Hz
2. Select items as follows.
    Group: ADJUST

    Adjustment item: CW-INDEX
1. Input the signal to the COMPUTER terminal.
2. Select the adjustment item and carry out adjustment 
     so that there is no disharmony or noise in the R, G, B 
    and W lamp patterns.

R/G/B contrast adjustment 
(manual or automatic adjust-
ment)
1. Select items as follows.
    Group: ADJUST

    (Process gamma interlocking)
2. Input the white signal of the amplitude level 
    at 96% (0.67Vpp) to the Computer terminal.
    XGA model: XGA 60Hz
    SVGA model: SVGA 60Hz
1. Observe the chromaticity value of the white window 
    pattern at 96% through CA100.
2. In the screen of bit error, increase the R/G/B-Contrast 
    value, and carry out adjustment so that the bit error is 
    caused in each of black to bright red, green and blue, 
    and the x value of R and the y value of G/B vary by 
    more than 100/1000.
3. If manually and visually adjust the screen of bit error, 
    carry out adjustment so that bright bit error of each 
    color appears in more than half of the screen.

RGB white balance adjustment
1. Input the 50% gray pattern signal to the 
    Computer terminal.
    XGA model: XGA 60Hz
    SVGA model: SVGA 60Hz
2. Select items as follows.
    Group: ADJUST

                                G-GAIN
                                B-GAIN
1. Carry out adjustment as follows by increasing the 
    adjustment value of the second item (and onwards) in 
    R/G/B-GAIN from initial value 100 with the chromaticity 
    value at CL200.

1. With the chromaticity value at CL200, adjust “S-G-OS” 
    and “S-B-OS” so that the x value is 313
±5 and the y

±5, respectively.
* Also check that the intensity of the colors
including magenta appearing especially in
certain W gradation is minimized.

Confirmation and readjustment of 
white balance

    monitor unit and the white balance.

Confirmation of off timer operation 1. Select items as follows.
    Group: CONFIRM/CHECK
    Adjustment item: TEMP-OFF
1. Confirm that the off timer starts counting from 5 
    minutes and 1 minute is counted as 1 second and 
    the setting is turned off when 0 minute is displayed.

Confirmation of thermistor 
operation
1. Carry out heating with dryer.

Auto-sync operation
1. Receive the phase confirmation pattern.
1. In the VGA/SVGA/XGA/SXGA/UXGA mode, 
    confirm that Clock, Phase, H-POS and V-POS can 
    be adjusted automatically.

Confirmation of DVI input 
operation
1. Input the image signal to the DVI-I terminal or 
    DVI-D terminal.
1. Confirm that the image is projected correctly with 
    digital input and analog input (only DVI-I).
2. Confirm that the HDCP authentication is available.

* Software writing procedure (Solely with the main board)
Download the firmware by using DLP Composer Lite Version 7.0 or later.
After writing the specified version of firmware to the PWB using the RS232C cable, check the version of the written firmware.
Calling and quitting the process mode with the control keys on this model.
* Although it is possible for the process OUT to exit using the process menu, the IN/OUT toggle command is also available considering the existing
specification.
1) Calling and quitting
With the menu not displayed, press the “ENTER”, “ENTER”, “VOL+”, “VOL-”, “ENTER”, “ENTER” and “MENU” keys on the remote control (one for
C50/45 or P25/20 system is also usable) or on the main unit.
2) Others
Press the S2551 process key (toggle) on the main PWB to call and quit the process menu.
NOTE: When adjusting in the process mode, set a signal with a vertical frequency of 60 Hz or no signal. (May not be properly adjusted with other sig-
nals.)
Resetting the lamp timer for this model
1) Resetting procedure
In Stand-by, run this command to clear the operating time of the lamp to 0 and turn on the power.
Press and hold “
”, “ENTER”, and “MENU”, and then press the “STANDBY/ON” key of the set.
Forced disabling of the System-Lock of this model
1) Disabling procedure
With System-Lock input window onscreen, press the “MENU”, “ENTER”, “ENTER”, “MENU”, “ENTER”, “ENTER” and “MENU” keys, in this order,
on the remote controller.

Confirmation of MONITOR output 
and AUDIO output
1. Input the analog image signal to the COM-
    PUTER and DVI-I terminals, and the audio 
    signal to the AUDIO1 and AUDIO2 terminals.
2. Connect other monitor to the MONITOR OUT 
    terminal.
3. Connect the AUDIO OUT terminal.
1. Confirm that the same image is displayed on the 
    connected monitor as that displayed on the screen, 
    and the selected audio is output from audio OUT.

Confirmation of RS232C 
operation
1. Connect to the PC with RS232C cable.
1. Confirm that the operation is carried out correctly 
    by transmitting the command from the PC.

Confirmation of USB operation
1. Connect to the PC with USB cable.
1. Confirm that the page up and down function is 
    operated remotely.

Confirmation of model name and 
version
1. Select items as follows.
    Group: INFO/VERSION
1. Confirm that the name of the relevant device is 
    shown in “MODEL” and the firmware version 
    correctly appears in “VERSION”.

Confirmation of setup guide 
screen
1. Turn on the power after turning on the setup 
    guide display or completing the factory 
    settings (SS4 etc.).
1. Confirm that the 4-split screen of the setup guide is 
    correctly displayed and the data appears correctly.
