1.  Import a multipage PDF file to CWS hold queue. 

2.  Launch Job Properties and go to Job info tab 

 Copies  9 

3.  Go to Layout tab 

 Duplex to Top-top 

4.  Media tab 

 Slip sheet ON 

5.  Select Finishing tab Sort Mode 

 Group with Shift. 

6.  Print the job 

Result: Job hang is observed. The job can be cancelled

Release Note  

•  FIT204873: Fiery exited while printing 20 or more than 20 page duplex job with Slip sheet , 

1.  Import any file more than 20 pages to the hold queue 

2.  Open Job Properties 

 Job info  copies more than 1 

3.  Layout tab 

Duplex  Top-Top 

4.  Media Tab 

 Slip sheet  ON 

5.  Go to Finishing tab 

Select Sort mode  Sort with Shift or Sort without shift  

6.  Print the job 

Result: It prints 1copy of the job and the slip-sheet and then it prints 2nd copy of the job 6 
sheets and then the Fiery gets exited and in engine Paper jam occurs. 

•  FIT 203147:Job waiting to print observed on printing booklet job with Cover source set to 

Tray1 and size set to A4SEF 

1.  Open a multipage PDF document 

2.  Go to File 

 Print and select the installed driver name 

3.  Click on Properties 

 Layout tab  Booklet; Paper Size for 2-Up printing t  

A4SEF; Cover Paper  

 Tray1. 

4.  Go to Media tab 

 Document Size  A4LEF. 

5.  Print the job. 

Result: Job was seen in waiting to print state without any message in CWS.

Release Note  

4  This patch is exclusive which means it must be installed independently and the server 

rebooted/restarted once. After which, other patches can be applied to the server. 

1  Make sure that the Fiery printer controller reaches Idle. 
2  Execute FIT203523.exe and follow the instructions in the Fiery Patch Downloader. 
3  Notes about the Fiery Patch Downloader 

a.  Logon must be admin.  This is fixed and cannot be modified. 

b.  Password is the Fiery administrator login password. 

c.  Hostname can be the IP address or the Fiery server name.  

4  After the patch is downloaded and when prompted by the Fiery Patch Downloader, choose 

Reboot. (If you choose to Restart later, make sure you manually reboot the server for the 
changes to take effect) 

5  Wait until the Fiery controller reaches Idle and print the Configuration page.  
6  Verify that the System Updates Log section contains the patch number FIT203523.
