sometimes results in reduced density of printed images. Replacing old
toner with new one in the developer tank and printing with the
processing condition modified to be more appropriate to the lower
coverage rate can improve the concentration reduction of printed
images. Then the process control for responding to the “lower
coverage rate mode” has been added. And the software SW also has
been incorporated, which allows switching ON or OFF the lower
coverage rate mode in printing lower coverage rate documents in
continuous mode. The factory default setting of the software SW is
OFF the lower coverage rate mode.

When “A3,” “A3 wide,” or 300g papers of “ledger” are printed in the
paper type “cardboard 4,” transfer slippage may occur by the impact
of the papers going into the fusing assembly. The dual speed control
of the fusing motor can prevent the transfer slippage. Then the
software SW has been added, which allows switching the speed
control to ACTIVATED or DEACTIVATED state.
