In correction "5-5" of the service manual, the method for adjusting the curling correction is 
explained. 

 

To ensure that the explanation of the adjustment method is clear, we are providing a 
supplement to the explanation in the manual.  
 
On the relay transport of the finisher there is a curling correction function. The initial position of 
the curling correction dial is "1". 
When problems in stapling, carrying performance, etc. are caused by curled paper, curling 
correction dial can be rotated to adjust the curling of the paper. 

[How to adjust the curling correction dial] 

* The dial can be adjusted from 1 to 10. 1 is the initial setting, 2, 3, etc. are used to 

increase the level of curling.

3. Caution 

- When adjusting for paper the is curled downwards, adjusting the upwards curling 

correction dial will reduce the curling. 
Conversely, when adjusting for paper the is curled upwards, adjusting the 
downwards curling correction dial will reduce the curling. 

- Do not adjust both the upwards and downwards curling correction dial. 
- Curling may change depending on the paper type or the operating environment. 

Therefore, adjustment may be required on a case-by-case basis.
