1. Model Name: MX-LCX4/LCX5
2. Symptom:
“U6-20” (communication error between the main body and an LCT) occurs occasionally owing
to noise made by shutting a finisher door of MX-LCX4/LCX5.

3. Cause:
A lead cable that had been not in use was installed. As a result, a reset circuit on an LCT PWB
malfunctioned owing to noise on signal lines.

4. Description:
An unnecessary purple lead cable with a five-pin connector (CN112), which is connected to a
rear LCT PWB, will be cut (two places) so that signal lines will not be affected by noise and
“U6-20” (communication error between the main body and an LCT) will not occur.
If the abovementioned error occurs on a model, to which no action is taken, cut the lead cable
(purple) based on procedures on the attached sheet.
