MX-DE20 MAINTENANCE 3 – 4
B. Drive section
(1) 1CS drive unit
1) Remove the rear cabinet and the right rear cabinet.
2) Remove the mounting plate.
3) Disconnect the connector, and remove the 1CS drive unit.
(2) Tandem drive unit
1) Remove the rear cabinet and the right rear cabinet.
2) Remove the desk paper feed motor.
3) Disconnect the connector, and remove the tandem drive unit.

3. Disassembly and assembly in each
unit
A. Tray paper feed section
(1)
Tray paper feed unit
a. Paper pickup roller, paper feed roller, separation roller
1)
Remove the paper feed tray.
2)
Remove the paper guide.
3)
Remove the paper pickup roller and the paper feed roller.
4)
Remove the separation roller.
b. Transport roller 2, Transport roller 3
1)
Open the right door.
2)
Clean the transport roller 2 and the transport roller 3.

c. Paper pickup roller, Paper feed roller
1) Pull out the tandem tray.
2) Remove the paper guide.
1) Pull out the tandem tray.
2) Remove the paper guide.
3) Lift the t andem paper feed. Remove the p aper pickup roller
and the paper feed roller.
d. Separation roller
1) Remove the screw, and remove the paper guide.
1) Remove the screw, and remove the paper guide.
2) Remove the separation roller.
e. Torque limiter
1) Remove the screw, and remove the paper guide.
1) Remove the screw, and remove the paper guide.
2) Remove the screw, and remove the separation roller.
3) Remove the torque limiter.

1) Remove the paper feed tray.
2) Remove the tray paper feed unit.
3) Remove the E-ring and the bearing. Remove the paper feed

lower PG unit.
4) Clean the transport roller 1.

1) Remove the paper feed tray.

3) Remove the E-ring and the bearing. Remove the paper feed

2) Remove the tray paper feed unit.
3) Remove the E-ring and the bearing. Remove the paper feed
lower PG unit.
4) Remove the spr ing, and remove the sup port plate. Remove
the spring and remove the separation pressure release plate.
5) Remove the sep aration roller. Remove the E-ring and the
shaft. Remove the torque limiter.

1) Remove the tandem tray.
2) Remove the harness from tha clamp and remove the connec-
