 1. SSL Certificate cannot correctly be created and SSL communication is unavailable in some  
   cases.  This problem has been corrected. 
 *On the machines that above trouble already happened, SSL Certificate needs to be re-created. 
  Please see “Confirmation/Remedy when SSL Certificate cannot correctly be created

Confirmation/Remedy when SSL Certificate cannot correctly be created 

 

(SSL communication is unavailable)

 

 
 

[Confirmation of Certificate status] 

 

   1. Access to Web page of MFP from PC, and log in as Administrator. 

 

   2. Move to Security Settings > SSL Settings. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

   

 
 
 
 
 

 3. Check that “Certificate Information” is listed here.

 4. Move to Export Certificate and Private Key, and execute the export of Certificate. 

 

     It is OK not to input “Password” here. 

 

     If Export fails, perform [Remedy] described later. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

   

 

 5. As long as any errors such as “Certificate Information” not listed or Export failure etc.,  

 

     cannot be seen at Step.3 or Step.4 above, Certificate is created correctly. 

 
 

[Remedy] 

 

   1. Create the temporary certificate because the current certificate will be deleted.  

 

     a. Log in to Web page as Administrator, and move to Security Settings > SSL Settings >  

 

       Certificate Creation. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

     

 

 b. Input the arbitrary value to “Common Name” and “Country/Region” code which are  

 

       required item, and click “Submit” button.

     c. The screen requiring the reboot will be displayed.  Click “Reboot Later”. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

    

 
 
  d. Move to Security Settings > SSL Settings, and check that Certificate Information is set to  
 

       the value you input. 

 

       At the same time, check that “Delete Certificate” button is displayed.
