If dust enters the machine, it may cause dirty copy and a paper
jam, resulting in a shortened lifetime.

If the machine is installed under the rays of the sun, the exterior of
the machine may be discolored and abnormal copies may be pro-
duced.

Do not install the machine at a place where there are gases and
chemicals. Especially be careful to avoid installation near a diazo-
type copier, which produces ammonium gas.
Copy quality may be adversely affected and a trouble may be
caused.

Avoid installation near a machine which produces vibrations.
If vibrations are applied to the copier machine, copy images may be
deflected and a trouble may be caused.

It is recommendable to use a forklift for bringing in the machine for
safety.
If no forklift is available, Be sure to use the skid slope (DKIT-
0367FCZZ). Be careful to safety and pull the machine down. The
carrying in must ensure manpower of four persons or more for
safety. The machine is considerably heavy, and requires safety
precautions for delivery and installation.
Transit of the machine must be made in packed condition to the
installing place.
Since the hard disk drive is built in the machine, use care not to
exert vibrations or shocks to the machine when in transit.

Remove the packing materials prior to installation in the office envi-
ronment.

Remove the top case, the top cushion, the packing case, and
the bundled item.

Implements, facility, and 
manpower

Use a forklift. (If no forklift is 
available, ensure manpower of four 
persons or more, and use the skid 
slope (DKIT-0367FCZZ)).

Delivery

Transit must be made in packed 
condition.

Cut the four corners of the bottom case.

Lift the main unit slightly, and remove the bottom pad R.

4)

Lift the main unit slightly, and remove the bottom pad L.

5)

Remove the vinyl bag from the main unit.

6)

Remove the slope.

* Slope : Deal as a parts.

7)

Attach the slope to the concave section of the skid.

Hold the grips of main unit and pull them down in the arrow
direction.

Remove the fixing tape and protection material.

Pull out the bundled items.

Check that all the items are included in the package.

Remove the optical unit fixing screw and remove the note
label.

Pull out the tray, and remove the rotation plate fixing material
and the tray note label.

2)

Attach the removed fixing material to the position shown in the
figure for storage.

Release the lock, and open the right door.

2)

Lower the pressure release lever to apply more pressure.

NOTE: If the machine is left unused for one month or more, the

heat roller rubber may be deformed. In such a case,
release the pressure by pushing up both levers.
