Paper

Most colour copier manufacturers recommend that one of the super-calendared brands of paper
is used on their machines, of which there are four main manufacturers - Neusiedler, Tullis
Russell, ENSO & Aussedat Rey.

Sharp has tested all four super-calendared brands of paper and found that these products are
compatible with the Sharp MX range of colour MFP’s, and all give good results. If a superior
finish is required, Sharp recommends that Neusiedler Colour Copy paper should be used for
both copying and printing.

If the end user is currently using a competitive brand of paper, this can still be used on the MX
range however, it is important to remember that some grades of copier paper have a greater
surface dust or rub-off which may cause internal contamination and copy quality degradation.

The following list describes various types of media that should NOT be used on the Sharp MX
series machines:-

•  Special paper for Ink-Jet printer (fine paper/ luster paper/ luster film/ postcard).
•  T-Shirt Film (Iron-on print paper)
•  Backside of paper printed on another Printer or MFP.
•  Carbon/ Thermal paper.
•  Perforated or Irregular shaped paper.
•  Paper with staple, paper clip or adhesive glue.
•  Paper with folds, curl or tear.
•  Paper ruffled due to humidity absorption.
•  Double postcard.
•  OHP type for “oil based” fusing (eg Folex BG74-6).
