1. Installation 
 

 Important  

 
Before installation, be sure to turn OFF the power 
switch of the operation panel, turn OFF the main 
power switch of the machine, and disconnect the 
power plug from the power outlet. Check to confirm 
that the data lamp is not lighting or flashing before 
execution of installation. 
 
A. Remove the exterior covers. 
 
1) Remove the front cabinet upper. 
 

 

 

2) Remove the lower cover of the operation panel. 
 

 

 

3) Remove the upper cover of the operation panel. 
 

 

 
B. Attachment to the IC card reader holder 
 
1) Attach the card reader fixing tape to the IC card 

reader holder referring to the notches as the 
reference. 

 

 Important  

 
The holder type and the attachment procedure differ 
depending on the kind of the IC card reader. 
 

 

 

Vertical direction:  
Fit with the notch. 
Horizontal direction: 
Fit with the notch and 
the lower edge. 

Vertical and 
horizontal directions: 
Fit with the notches. 

 
2) Cut out the boss. 
 

 Important  

 
The cutting position of the boss of the IC card reader 
holder differs depending on the kind of the IC card 
reader.

3) Attach the IC card reader to the IC card reader 

holder according to the attachment reference ribs. 

 

 Important  

 
The attachment reference position differs depending 
on the kind of the IC card reader. 
 

 

 
4) Attach the IC card reader holder to the operation 

panel of the machine. 

 

 

5) Bind up the cables of the card reader. 
 

 Important  

 
The length and the winging method differ depending 
on the kind of the IC card reader. 
 

 

 

 Important  

 
Hang the cable on the two hooks and wind it so that 
there is no slack. 
If there is some slack, the cable may be pinched. 
 

 

 

 

 
Fold and put the rest of the cable under the bundle. 
 

 

 

 

 
Bind the root section of the USB connector in the 
card reader side and the USB connector socket 
section in the USB mini harness side with the binding 
bands. 
 

 Important 

  
Fix so that the USB connection position is at the 
center of the card reader holder.
