Description
Main body control-
related
The MFP screen would go blank and the MFP would fail to recover from power save
mode if the MFP was in received fax preview mode and an attempt was made to recover
the MFP from power save mode—either by a fax being received or by the user pressing
the Power Save key—when 10 minutes or more had elapsed since the MFP entered
power save mode after receiving a fax and retaining received data. This glitch has been
corrected.
Main body control-
related
System time would automatically revert to a date roughly five years, five months, and
eight days in the past for a period of at least 1 minute when the home, system
configuration, or preview screens were operated after the power was turned on and then
operated again around 6 hours later. This glitch has been corrected.
Main body control-
related
If the MFP main body is returned from the power saving status after the USB memory is
inserted, the USB memory may not be recognized. This glitch has been corrected.
4 Jam-related
When FAX-received data of less than 3 lines is output, PPD2_PRI jam may occur. This
glitch has been corrected.
Fusing control-
relationship
Fusing control has been changed so that the fusing pressure release amount can be
changed in envelop mode to solve the envelop fusing fault.
The fusing pressure release amount can be changed by the setting of the following engine
software switch.
Engine software switch (Sim55-1)   SW No.:12   Bit: 1,2,3

6 UI-related
A software switch has been added that enables the LCD display characters of this main
body to be switched to bold characters.
Controller software switch (SIM 55-3) SW No. 22   Data bit 7
0: Standard (default)
1: Bold characters
7 UI-related
Color items of "document filing print" have been added to the total paper usage count
display screen.
8 UI-related
The operation panel screen display setting has been changed so that when the panel
switch is turned off, the operation panel screen disappears after fusing pressure is released.
9 Printer-related
When copying the character string specified in PJL, the memory occasionally corrupts
because the buffer size is small, resulting in incomplete printing from MacOS 10.5.6. This
glitch has been corrected.
10 Printer-related
If ESC/P raster data (barcode data) exists at the end of the page, the data cannot be
registered in the page buffer correctly because the page end processing is performed
before the final raster data processing. If the data cannot be registered in the page buffer
correctly, barcodes may not be printed correctly. This glitch has been corrected.

Description
11 Printer-related
If the character string reference pointer is not initialized in character string comparison for
automatic discrimination of PDL data, an incorrect address may be accessed and, in rare
cases, the MFP main body may be restarted during printing. This glitch has been
corrected so that the pointer is initialized under all conditions.
12 Printer-related
Data after the EOI (End of Image) marker in JPEG data of the pasted image may not be
printed because a PCL-XL error occurs as incorrect data. This glitch has been corrected
so that data after the EOI marker is ignored.
13 Printer-related
If the LPD banner page is enabled, a hang-up may occur when the number of the job is
close to 1,000. This glitch has been corrected.
14 Printer-related
A watermark may turn into garbled because some parts of the macro processing sections
for watermark processing process incorrectly. This glitch has been corrected.
15
Image transmission-
related
Transmitting multiple documents directly to SMTP from the specific model of other
companies may cause a problem of receiving only the first page of multiple documents
more than once. This glitch has been corrected.
16
Image transmission-
related
If the scanned data is transmitted to non-Windows OS through "Scan to shared folder" of
the MFP main body, the SMB server based on non-Windows OS may respond differently
from the SMB standard communication procedure, causing the SMB client error. This
glitch has been corrected so that the scanned data can be transmitted correctly by
ignoring such response on the MFP main body side.
17
Document filing-
related
A communication error may occur if FTP pull print is performed for the FTP server on the
Novell NetWare 5.x server. This glitch has been corrected.
18
Document filing-
related
The document filing data backed up from the old MX series model may not be restored.
This glitch has been corrected.
19 OSA-related
When the OSA is performed, other image may be displayed in the image link at the
beginning of the screen or the background. This glitch has been corrected.
20 OSA-related
If the Input Template is drawn during the acquisition of the template with images, the UI
module may corrupt the memory and operation processes incorrectly. This glitch has been
corrected.
21 OSA-related
If images such as the vendor logo exist in the OSA template screen, the incorrect
sequence may occur between the acquisition processing of this external image and the
drawing processing of the next screen (soft keyboard), resulting MFP freeze. This glitch
has been corrected.
22 OSA-related
"GetUserInfo" may not notify "DeviceInfo" during external authentication. This glitch has
been corrected.

23 OSA-related
If keys are pressed quickly and continuously when the external application is valid, "The
data from external application is in incorrect format. Call for service" message may be
displayed. This glitch has been corrected.
24 Web
page-related
Input of the authentication key and privacy key may be prompted despite the fact that the
setting of SNMP v3 is invalid in WEB page setting. This glitch has been corrected.
25 Authentication-related
If you log out manually from the user authentication status, the initial screen may not be
redisplayed. This glitch has been corrected so that the initial screen is redisplayed as
automatic logout.
26 Sim-related
If the mounted USB memory is pulled out during restarting after simulation with the restart
function is released, LCD screen display may become unstable depending on the timing.
This glitch has been corrected.
27 Trouble
code-related
If a communication error occurs between FAX-MFP controllers, the communication with
other party is cancelled and the data causes E7-06(3F) may not be received. This glitch
has been corrected.
28 Trouble
code-related
If a specific dot test chart with a high compression rate is copied, E7-06(4F) error may
occur. This glitch has been corrected.
29 Trouble
code-related
When copying a book document being pressed from above, the lamp unit may be caught
in the upper cabinet, causing L3-00 trouble. This glitch has been corrected so that retry is
performed to prevent L3-00 trouble when the lamp unit returns.
30 Trouble
code-related
Settings have been modified so that if BOOT ROM of general version is installed when
the product key of the data security kit option is valid, the "A0-15" trouble is output.
31 Maintenance-related
Software switches have been added that switch Display/Hide of drum and development
maintenance messages and judgment conditions.
- Controller software switch (Sim55-3)   SW No.: 22   DATA: 6
0: Display (default)
1: Hide
- Engine software switch (Sim55-1)   SW No.: 9   DATA: 8
0: Maintenance messages are displayed according to the number of the counter or
running distance, whichever is faster (default).
1: Maintenance messages are displayed according to the number of the counter.
32 Option-related
The Equitrac card reader may skip a key when information is read incorrectly or the CPU
load is heavy. This glitch has been corrected.
