3. For the field: 

When the above symptoms occur in the market, as a provisional countermeasure, attach the 
DV seal upper (PSEL-0966FCZ1) to prevent toner splatter on the DV cover upper.(Refer to the 
separate sheets for the attachment procedure.) 
Purchase the DV seal upper (PSEL-0966FCZ1) as a service part. 
Furthermore, for the colour developer tank, the above countermeasures have been applied 
from the beginning of production. 

Attachment Procedure for the DV Seal Upper to the BK Development Tank for the MX-4100/5000 Series 
 
[ Attachment Procedure ] 
 

1. Remove the DV cover upper of the BK development tank. 
2. Clean the attachment location for the DV seal upper (PSEL-0966FCZ1) on the DV cover upper with a clean 

rag. 

 

 

3. Attach the DV seal upper (PSEL-0966FCZ1) to the DV cover upper using the reference below. 
 

 

 
* Attachment required for all colors of the MX-2600/3100 Series and for color of the MX-4100/5000 Series in 

the same way. 

4. When attaching the seal, push out all air bubbles from the end of the DV seal upper (PSEL-0966FCZ1). 
 

 

 
* Securely attach the DV seal upper so that the entire seal is attached. 
* Do not trap any air bubbles in the double-sided tape part of the DV seal upper. 
 

1. Perform regular cleaning of toner that has the DV seal upper (PSEL-0966FCZ1) attached.
