1. Model Name:

2. General: 

To prevent generation of noises with rasping sound at the main drive unit, Paper feed drive unit, 
and the loosening of the screws of the main drive unit, screw lock paint is applied. 
Application of screw lock paint is necessary when disassembly and assembly of those drive 
units. 
(The application positions are shown below.) 

1. The positions where screw lock paint is applied. 
 

1-1) Main drive unit (Front) 

Apply 0.1g of screw lock paint between the bearing and the main drive frame (one place). 
Note: Take care to ensure that screw lock paint does not adhere to the portion between 

the bearing and each DV drive shaft.

  1-2) Paper feed drive unit (Front) 
Apply 0.1g of screw lock paint between the bearing and the main transport drive frame (four   
places). 
Note: Take care to ensure that screw lock paint does not adhere to the portion between the    
bearing and each PS drive shaft. 
 

 

 
 
 
 
 
1-3) Paper feed drive unit (Rear) 

Remove the PS paper delivery motor and apply 0.1g of screw lock paint between the 
cleaner bearing and the transport drive plate (two places). 
Note: Take care to ensure that screw lock paint does not adhere to the portion between 

the cleaner bearing and the PS drive shaft. 

 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
2. The positions where screw lock paint is applied to prevent the screw loosening problem 

2-1) Main drive unit (Rear) 

Apply 0.04g of screw lock paint on each screw (six places).The application positions are 
shown below. 
Note: Take care to ensure that screw lock paint does not adhere to the slot of the screw head.
