[Example 1] 

When performing control level adjustments for the standard toner concentration in the field 
and simulation 25-02 is performed with a toner cartridge loaded, the toner is dripped into the 
toner refill of the developer tank, and as a result, the EE-EL error (over toner) is displayed. 
Therefore, when performing control level adjustments for the standard toner 
concentration, do not insert a toner cartridge. 
Refer to the Installation Manual. 
 
(Suggested process addition) 
Cases other than the above process, performing simulation 25-02 with the toner cartridge 
loaded, can cause the EE-EL error to be displayed. We suggest that you perform an 
additional confirmation process. 
 
Perform the following process after developer is injected into the developer tank. 

- Rigorously shake the developer unit horizontally 4 to 5 times. 
- Open the toner refill shutter, visually confirm the toner drip point of the developer is 

similar to the condition displayed in the "OK" image (next page).If the condition is the 
same as either of the "NG" images, rigorously shake the developer unit horizontally 
another 4 to 5 times. Once you have visually confirmed that the condition of the 
developer is similar to the "OK" image, insert the developer unit. 

 

 
[Example 2] 

After performing control level adjustments for the standard toner concentration, insertion of 
the toner cartridge did not make the machine ready, therefore, the following operations were 
performed. As a result, F2-64 to 67 errors or F2-40 to 43 errors are displayed. 
While the message, "Refilling toner, please wait." is displayed on the LCD, do not perform 
the following 3 operations. The duration of the "Refilling toner, please wait." message is 30 
seconds to 6 minutes. 
 
Operation 

1). Turning the power OFF and then ON. 
2). Opening and closing the front cabin, right door, etc. 
3). Performing a simulation. 
 
(Cause) 

A function to detect the amount of toner that is dripped from the MX-2310U has been added. 
After performing control level adjustments for the standard toner concentration and when 
inserting a toner cartridge for the first time, the function detects the amount of toner dripped 
and whether or not toner is being dripped from the toner cartridge. 
When the "Refilling toner, please wait." message is displayed on the LCD, the machine is in 
toner drip volume detection mode. 
In this status, if the above operations (Power OFF/ON) are performed, the toner drip volume 
detection mode will be reset and have to be run again. As a result, over toner error may 
occur causing F2-64 to 67 or F2-40 to 43 errors to be displayed. 
While the message, "Refilling toner, please wait." is displayed, do not perform the above 
three operations until the machine is in ready status.

The software is being revised so that the toner drip volume detection mode will not run 
repeatedly even when the above three operations 1), 2), and 3) are performed. 
Once the revision is complete, a separate service information will be released.  
The Instruction Manual will be revised regarding the above precautions.
