1. Model Name.

MX2300N/2700N

2. Symptom.

If specific conditions (both side printing/temperature rises in machine/low non-print) are
met in the TN pipe unit (for black), toner may rarely clog.
This symptom does not occur in colours other than black but parts for the TN pipe units of
other colours will be changed to achieve commonality of parts. However, only [Description]
1 will be applied to the TN pipe unit (for yellow). [Description] 2 will not be applied.

3. Description.

Toner fluidity in the TN pipe unit will be improved to improve toner-clogging margin.

1. TN pipe vibration in the TN pipe unit (for black) will be slightly intensified to remove

the toner adhering to the surface inside the TN pipe.
Action: This action will be taken only for the TN pipe units (for black) of MX3500
Series and MX4500 Series. 

 From the first TN pipe unit of the mass production

This action will be taken for all the TN pipe units (other than black) of MX2300 Series,
MX2700 Series, MX3500 Series, and MX4500 Series. 

 From the middle of February

2006 production

2. Fluorine coating will be applied to the TN pipes of the TN pipe units for M, C, and K
(excluding Y).
Depending on a combination of parts in the TN pipe unit assembly, toner may leak. For
this reason, supply of some service parts (sub-parts) will be abolished and only service
parts for the TN pipe units will be supplied.

A white horizontal line is provided in the centre of the fluorine-coated TN pipe.
