MX2300N/MX2700N

2. Symptom:

A sheet sticking to the lower heat roller causes a POD1_N jam or a H5-01 (upon detecting
5 consecutive POD_1N jams) error.
These errors occur because a weak or a moist sheet curls excessively on the lower heat
roller side, and curling of a sheet in the fixing unit induces sticking to the lower heat roller.
Then a paper jam occurs when printing on a front side in double-sided printing. (In double-
sided printing, the back side is printed first.)

3. Description:

To prevent a sheet from sticking to the lower heat roller, a Separate pawl lower is added to

increase a margin of peeling off sheets.

                     

4. Action:

Unit: From mid-May 2006 production
Kit:  From July 2006 production
