2. Description: 

 

The type of PFA tube that only circumferentially contracts is used to cover the upper heat 
roller of a fusing unit. However, this type causes a wrinkle to occur in the circumference 
direction of the upper heat roller and this wrinkle occasionally interferes with the upper 
separator pawl, and can damage the upper heat roller.  
To prevent the upper heat roller from being damaged due to wrinkle interference with the 
upper separator pawl, we have changed the type of PFA tube that only circumferentially 
contracts to that of PFA tube that contracts both circumferentially and in the thrust 
direction. This change prevents wrinkle occurrence. 
This symptom has occurred in the Japanese market.Upper heat rollers for the UK market 
do not touch upper separator pawls, so the above symptom does not occur. To improve the 
upper heat rollers UK market, however, we will change them.
