MOUNTING THE DEHUMIDIFYING HEATER IN THE
OPTICAL UNIT ON THE MARKET

2. General:
For the overseas models of the above (North America, Europe and Australia), the
dehumidifying heater is mounted in the optical unit on the market as a countermeasure
against poor copy due to condensation, etc.
3. Description:

2) Dehumidifying heater mounting procedure
    The mounting work must be performed in order of a to o.
a.  Remove the rear and left exteriors.
b.  Remove the glass retainer and table glass.
c.  Attach the optical edge sheets A and B to the optical frame. For the attaching
reference, see drawing below.
d.  Remove the dark box. (See drawing below.)
e.  Fix the dehumidifying heater (lens) to the optical frame with a screw (M3x6, S tight).
(See drawing below.)
f. 
Perform the wiring treatment of the dehumidifying heater (lens) using the mini clamp.
(See drawing below.)
g.  Fix the dark box.
h.  Attach the dehumidifying heater (mirror) to the optical frame. For the attaching
reference, see the enlarged drawing.

i. 
Perform the wiring treatment of the dehumidifying heater (mirror) using the harness-
fixing sheet. The attaching reference of the harness-fixing sheet is as follows.
j. 
Fix the DH interface PWB to the optical frame with 4 screws, and then connect the
DH interface harness to the connector CN1 of the DH interface PWB and connector
CN31 of the MCU PWB. (See wiring diagram.)

k.  Attach the optical edge protection sheet A.  For the attaching reference, see drawing
below.
l.  Perform the wiring treatment of the harness in the dehumidifying heater using the
snap band. (See drawing below.)
m.  Connect the DH harness to the connector CN3 of the DH interface PWB and
connector CN6 of the power supply PWB. (See wiring diagram of the step j.)
n.  Mount the glass retainer and table glass.
o.  Mount the left and rear exteriors.
