How to activate a Product Key Option
Model Name:
ARNS1/2, ARPK1, ARFR1/2/3
Overview: 
The ARNS1/2 is an optional integral Network Scanner for the
AR287/337/407/507 range of products.
The ARNS2 is an optional integrated Network Scanner for the ARM35/450
and AR135/275 products.
The ARPK1 is a Postscript option for the ARP350/450, ARM350/450, and
AR235/275 products.
The ARFR1/2/3 is the Common Criteria security option for the
AR287/337/40/507 range of products.
With any of these options, you will receive an operation manual
The front of the operation manual details a unique code which when
registered, on a Sharp Internet site, along with the Copier Serial number,
provides an activation key which unlocks the Optional function within the
Copier.
This bulletin explains this procedure in detail.
Procedure:
1.
Make a note of the Copier serial number upon which the option is to be
activated.
2.
Make a note of the Application number from the front of the option
operation manual.
3.
Access the following URL, with the user name and password indicated.

4.  After logging on to the site, click on the British Flag.

5.  Register the option against the Sharp Copier Serial number by
completing the following web form :–
NOTE:
When inputting the data, please ensure that the prefix letter of the
Application number is entered in uppercase.  Also, if the machine
serial number ends in X or Y, that must also be entered in
uppercase.
6.  After clicking on the submit button, an email will be sent to the address of
the dealer representative, containing the product activation key.
7.  Upon receiving the activation key, enter the key and enable the option as
below.

8.  On the AR287/337/407/507:
For the ARNS1, enter Simulation 26-10 on the copier and input the
activation key.  Then enable the scanner, by entering Simulation 26-44,
and ensure that the SCSI connection that the ARPB2A is connected to, is
set to 20.
NOTE: For the ARNS1 to function correctly the ARPB2A must be
connected to port B.
For the ARFR1/2/3, enter the Simulation 26-11 on the copier and input
the activation key.  Then setup the option in Key Operator settings.
NOTE: For SIM 26-11 to be available, the engine firmware which comes
with the ARFR1/2/3, must be fitted.
9.  On the AR235/275:
For the ARNS2, enter the Simulation 26-10 on the copier and input the
activation key.
For the ARPK1, enter the Simulation 26-14 on the copier and input the
activation key.
10.  On the ARP350/450 and ARM350/450, enter the Key Operator settings,
select Product Key, then select the required option and enter the
activation code.
