Installation of Print Drivers under Windows
95/98
Model Name:
AR-PB2/+
Pre-requisites: 
Parallel port on PC running Windows 95 or Windows 98, connected to
parallel port on AR-PB2/+ with parallel cable.  Microsoft Windows 95/98 CD,
Sharp AR-PB2/+ print driver disks for Windows 95.
Note: 
It may be necessary to use the Microsoft Windows 95/98 CD during
installation.
Items in italics indicate icons, buttons or menu options during installation.
Procedure:
Start Windows 95/98.
1. From the Start menu go to Settings and then Printers.
2. In the Printers dialog box, double-click on Add Printer:
                       
3. The Add Printer Wizard will appear.  To begin installing a new printer,
click Next:

4. Select Local Printer and click Next (If a network card is not installed, the procedure will skip step 5
and go directly to step 6).
5. Select Have Disk to install the Sharp AR-PB2/+ printer driver software from the installation disk:
6. Insert the Sharp AR-PB2/+ print driver disk in the floppy drive and click OK:
7. Select the print driver to be installed and click Next.  The following will be displayed for the PCL
print driver:

The following will be displayed for the PostScript driver:
9. If prompted to keep the existing driver, you may chose to do so by clicking Next.  Otherwise, a
newer version driver may be chosen.
10. Select a port for printing and click Next (this is usually LPT1):
11. The next window will allow you to enter a name for the printer or keep the default name.  This
name will appear in the printers list when selecting printers from within an application.  You may
also choose to make this the default printer for all Windows programs from this screen.  Enter the
printer name and click Next:

12. Print a test page by clicking on

13. Confirm to Windows that the test page printed properly by clicking Yes:
14. After successful completion of a new printer installation,  the new printer will be displayed as an
icon in the Printers dialog box:
Installation of the print driver is now complete.  Return to step 3 to add additional drivers.
