13.  Click on OK, close Active directory Users and Computers and then login as the selected user.
The exported registry setting should be merged with the client registry and the printer should then
be fully configured.
Limitations of a login script
(a)  This method of supplying a registry key should only be used if a user logs on using their
credentials to the same computer or a workstation that has the same printer driver installed with
the same printer driver name. If a user logs on to a workstation where no printer driver is present
or the printer is named differently and the configuration data is imported, the registry of the
receiving workstation will have entries but no actual printer available. This could cause registry
problems.
(b)  Utilising a login script means that the exported configured registry branch will be merged with the
client computer at every logon and not as a one off.
(c)  Please also keep in mind that in a larger network it may not always be the same machine that
validates your logon. In the case of Windows NT4, a backup domain controller may validate your
logon. In order that all primary and backup domain controllers have the same information these
machines should be configured to replicate.
For more information on Windows Replication please refer to your Windows NT4 or 2000
documentation.
