printing to the AR-PB2/+ using the Sharp PB2 PPD.
Procedure:
1. Check the Copier set up
Obtain the “Network Configuration Page” from the Copier and check that
“AppleTalk Network Information” = enabled and also make a note of the
AppleTalk Printer which is usually “Sharp Corporation Printer.”

4. Using the new driver in a Mac Application
The following example is from the Mac version of Microsoft Word, but shows
a method of controlling the printer features. Other applications work in a
similar way.
a)
Configure the paper size
Select [File] then [Page setup], then change the Paper from Letter to A4,
and click [ok]
b)
Configure the printer options
Select [File] then [Print] , then configure the copies/pages/paper source
as required.
Additionally click on the [options] button, which will allow control over the
Printer functions such as :
Reverse Order, Stapling, Binding Edge, Duplex, Paper Delivery, and
Resolution.
5. Cautions regarding Binary Printing
Many Macintosh applications store their files in a “Binary Encoded” format.  In
order to print these files, you must upgrade the ARPB2 to at least version
2.32. Earlier versions of the firmware will only accept ASCII encoded data
from the Apple Macintosh.  If a binary encoded file is sent to the ARPB2,
which has not been upgraded to v2.32, either a Postscript error or an
indefinite “Processing print  data”  message will result.
ARPB2 firmware version 2.32 or the later ARPB2+ firmware 3.22 that is also
capable of printing Binary Encoded data are both available to download from
the Sharp Technical web.
