ARPB2a  Printer Board
Overview:
A new version of ARPB2a Program/Font firmware is now available from the
ARPB2a area of the Sharp Technical Web. This v4.40 firmware overcomes a
number of issues, some of  which are listed below. V4.40 program/font
firmware will be incorporated into all ARPB2a printer boards from November
2000 production.
Flash Upgrade:
V4.40 program/font firmware should be used in conjunction with boot
firmware v2.04.  As long as boot v2.04 is installed in the printer board, the old
program/font firmware can simply be upgraded to v4.40 using the usual flash
upgrade procedure.
If boot v2.04 is not installed in the printer board, the boot firmware must first
be upgraded. The copier must then be powered down before the
program/font v4.40 firmware is installed. For step by step instructions please
refer to the Flash Upgrade Procedure that can be found in the ARPB2a area
of the Sharp Technical Web.
Known Fixes:
•
 
When consecutively printing from a MAC, “Printing” is not indicated, even
when the second print job is processed after the first job.
•
 
The first letter of a watermark could appear darker than any other when
printing using the PS driver.
•
 
If the key operator setting “Set the number of confidential print jobs to be
stored” was changed on the copier’s operational panel, after the copier is
powered off/on the setting would revert back to it’s default setting.
•
