Upgraded from the mid of March 2004 production
Corrected Problems
1. Corrected H4-02 trouble. (Changed the temperature control setting of HL3 to 180 .)
Previously when a cassette or bypass tray was set to Heavy Paper mode (regardless
of the thickness of a paper), the temperature of HL3 was controlled at 220 degrees C.
If multiple copying was performed in this condition, the ambient temperature of the
thermostat would rise to 150 degrees C, causing a break in the thermostat cable and
H4-02. This is because the HL3 thermostat is turned off at 150 plus or minus 5 degrees C
by its specifications.To correct this problem, the HL3 temperature in Heavy Paper
mode has been changed to 180 degrees C. This also changed the ambient
temperature of the HL3 thermostat to around 125 degrees C.
2. Corrected F2-48 trouble occurred in a low humidity environment. (Changed the humidity
correction table.)
Previously, the threshold value that judges OK/NG for signals output from the
temperature-humidity sensor was set incorrectly. If the temperature-humidity sensor
output OK-level signals, they were judged as NG and F2-48 was recorded in the error
history.To correct this problem, such threshold value has been changed to the correct
value.

1. Changed: When the inter-paper timer of the bypass tray is activated, if HPFC is
turned OFF/ON, the interval between papers will be 30 ms [clutch-coupling time].
