2. Symptom
In certain circumstances the MPRD2 in the interface pass unit does not detect the trail
edge of the paper, this can be possibly down to paper conditions.
As a countermeasure for this problem the detection margin has been increased. When a
detection error rises, approximately 30-40mm from the trail edge of the paper will not be
copied and left blank.
3. Description
A rib has been added to the area of the aperture in which the MPRD2 sensor is placed, in
addition to this the height of the existing rib has been increased by 1mm.
4. Action
Running change from August 2004 production.
Increased margins of detection for MPRD2 sensor in
the interface pass unit.
