[1] GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS
This machine is composed of the following sections. 
1.  Paper feed section 
This section supplies paper into the machine.
The paper feed tray loads paper of A4, B5, and 8.5" x 11".
Special paper, paper of the other size, and manual paper feed are
optionally available. 
2.  Paper transport section
This section transports paper from the paper feed section to the process
section.
The vertical transport mechanism is employed in this machine. 
The paper transport section is composed of the transport roller, the resist
roller, and the resist front sensor.
3. Process section 
This section forms images and transfers them onto paper.
The transfer roller system is employed in this machine. 
The waste toner recycling system is also employed to cut print costs.
4. Fusing section 
This section fuses toner on paper by heat and pressure. 
5. Paper exit section
Paper is discharged to the right side. When the optional device is
installed, paper can be discharged to the left side. Switchback operation
is performed when discharging paper to the left side or when duplex
printing. 
6. Controller section
This section is divided into the multi-function controller and the printer
controller. This section performs image process, PC communication, and
control of the scanner and FAX. 
7.  Laser scan unit section 
This section converts image data made by the controller into laser
beams, and forms latent electricity image on the photoconductor. The
resolution at that time is 600dpi.
8.  Power unit
The power unit generates voltages (5V, 3.3V, 24V) required for this
machine from the rated voltage. The voltage of 12V for this machine is
generated by the motherboard. 
9.  PCU section 
The PCU section controls this machine, optional devices, and the drive
system.
