Toner cartridges are recyclable. Instructions for return are included in each toner box. 
 
Each national destination has a unique identification within the CRUM chip. Once inserted into a machine 
a cartridge cannot then be used in any other machine. The CRUM chip also carries information on toner 
remaining. Once the ‘toner empty’ message is displayed the cartridge must be replaced. Shaking the 
toner cartridge will not extend the life and may have a detrimental effect on copy quality as waste toner is
