Procedure for assigning manual (static) IP Address through the copier’s operation panel 
 
AR-P350/450 
1.  
Press the 'MENU' key 4 times 
2.  
The Operator panel will display "Key Operator Programs". Press the 'OK' key. 
3.  
Enter the Key Operator code (default setting is '00000'). 
4.  
Press the Down Arrow key 6 times. 
5.  
The Operator panel will display "SYSTEM SETTINGS". Press the 'OK' key. 
6.  
Press the Down Arrow key twice. 
7.  
The Operator panel will display "NETWORK SETTINGS". Press the 'OK' key. 
8.  
The Operator panel will display "IP ADDRESS SETTING". Press the 'OK' key. 
9.  
The Operator panel will display "ENABLE DHCP". 
10.  
Press the Down Arrow key to toggle from "YES*" to "NO". Press the 'OK' key. 
11.  
The Operator panel will display "IP ADDRESS". Press the 'OK' key. 
12.  
Enter the IP address in a similar way to entering the Key Operator code. 
13.  
The Operator panel will display the message "COMPLETE THE SETTING BY POWER 
OFF/ON". Wait for a few seconds until the display reverts to "IP ADDRESS". 
14.  
Press the Down Arrow key. 
15.  
The Operator panel will display "IP SUBNET MASK". Press the 'OK' key. 
16.  
Enter the Subnet mask in a similar way as the IP address. 
17.  
The Operator panel will display the message "COMPLETE THE SETTING BY POWER 
OFF/ON". Wait for a few seconds until the display reverts to "IP SUBNET MASK". 
18.  
Power cycle the printer. 
 
AR-M350/450 
1.  
Press 'CUSTOM SETTINGS' key. 
2.  
Press 'KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS' key. 
3.  
Enter Key Operator Code (default setting is '00000').

Press the 'PRINT SETTINGS' key 
5.  
Press the 'NETWORK SETTINGS' key 
6.  
Press the 'IP ADDRESS SETTING' key. 
7.  
Enter the IP address and the sub-net mask, then uncheck the 'DHCP' box.

Procedure for activating an ARNS2 
 
The ARNS2 is an optional integral Network Scanner for the ARP350/450 and ARM350/450 range of products. 
Upon purchasing this option, you will receive an operation manual and a “Sharpdesk” CDROM. The front of the 
operation manual details a unique code which when registered, on a Sharp Internet site, along with the Copier 
Serial number, provides an activation key which unlocks the Network Scanner functions within the Copier. This 
bulletin explains this procedure in detail. 
 
Procedure:  
1.  
Make a note of the Copier serial number upon which the ARNS1 Scanner is to be activated. 
2.  
Make a note of the Application number from the front of the ARNS1 operation manual. 
3.  
Access the following URL,
 http://tech-ds.sharp.co.jp/key
 with the user name and password indicated. 
(Notice that the URL does not start http://www.)

4.  
After logging on to the site, click on the British Flag. 
5.  
Register the ARNS1 against the Sharp Copier Serial number by completing the web form  
6.  
After clicking on the submit button, an email will be sent to the address of the dealer representative, 
containing the product activation key. 
7.  
Upon receiving the activation key, enter custom settings, Key operator, Product key entry then Network 
scanner expansion on the copier and input the activation key.
