There are two methods of upgrading the ARNC5J Network card:

From DOS using FTP

SCVerup Utility is available from the Sharp Electronics Technical Web site. After starting the SCVerup utility from

V4.10 V1.08  V2.12 V2.00 Previously, the machine became inoperative when printing a
mixed document of envelope, postcard and regular sized paper as
the machine requested for postcard/envelope when printing
regular sized paper.  This failure is fixed in this version. Previously,
the machine did not recover from auto-shut off mode.  This failure
is fixed in this version. The message to say not to turn off the
power at the time of paper jamming is added. Previously, the pop-
up message “out-of paper” appeared from S-MON when
recovering from shut-off mode.  This failure is fixed in this version.
June01
V5.09 V2.01  V3.01 V3.02 AR-FN7 “High speed stacking mode” is added to Key Operator
Program previously, the machine locked up if starting to use the
machine right after clearing a DF-jam.  This failure is fixed in this
version. Previously, a paper jam between the ADU and the main
unit could not be cleared without opening/closing the left cover
twice.  This failure is fixed in this version. Access from the web
page on the Image Send Screen is made possible by a fix. A
change is made to delete an email destination after sending e-mail
if the e-mail destination is highlighted but the “Enable Hyperlink to
FTP server to be e-mailed” check box is unchecked.
July01
V6.06 V2.01A V3.04 V4.00 A change is made for compatibility with AR-PF1. Sim.46-26 is
added. (0 = Pattern matching function ON 1= Pattern matching
function OFF).
Aug01
V6.06 V2.01A V3.06 V4.00 The message “Copying” was indicated and the machine hung up.
This failure is corrected. The default value of Sim.46-26 (Pattern
Matching Function when the fax data is sent.) the value is changed
to ‘0’ (the pattern matching function is available).
Sept01
V8.12 V2.01B V5.00 V5.00 Image Send function is improved and the following function is
added in order to improve the operation. The file transmission
function in TIFF format is added. (It is possible for the user to
select this function when the checkbox is ticked.) If the checkbox
is off when the receiver on FTP is selected, the receiver selected
when submitted can be cleared. The detailed information about
the error code is mentioned in Help on Web page. The resolution
(dpi) is indicated in Help on Web page. The file format can be
selected every time the image is sent. The rotate-sorting function
setting is available in Key OP (Checkbox On/Off). The font list
printing function is added on AR-PF1. The support for binary mode
is added. When the NC5J is installed, CE-00 trouble is
experienced.  This failure is eliminated. (It is possible to reduce the
CE-00 trouble if SW80-8 of Sim.66-1 is set as “1”.) The number of
pages with memory full in Mass Original mode (special function)
did not match to the number of pages with memory full in.
Oct01
V9.07 V3.02  V6.04 V5.02 The maintenance cycle setting was changed as follows: DEFAULT
(50K) / 5K / 10K / 25K / 50K / 80K / FREE. Sim26-38 is added for
MFP model. The machine does not stop if the number of copies
reaches to the setting for the maintenance cycle + 10%.1 (PRINT
STOP): The machine stops if the number of copies reaches to the
setting for the maintenance cycle +10%.
