Diagnostic Mode (AR-P350/450)
Diagnostic Mode Entry
When the scanner unit is not installed, the machine can be checked and tested with the following
diagnostics mode. To cancel diagnostic mode, turn the power off.
Hold the MENU and OK keys down whilst turning on the main power switch.
Machine Data Print
1. In diagnostic mode press MENU 12 times to display Test print 00
2. Press OK. The machine will enter warm up mode with no indication on the display.
3. Multi setting. Use 
tuto select the number of copies required.
4. MENUPrint pattern. Use 
tuto select the test pattern required.

5. MENUCassette. Use 
tuto select the paper source. (Note BPT = MFT)
6. MENUDuplex. Use 
tuto select Duplex mode.
7. MENUOutput. Use 
tuto select the type of output dependent on the options fitted .
8. Press OK for test prints.
Notes
A) The OK key can be pressed at any time for the machine to produce a test print. However, if
OK is pressed and the data light remains flashing and no print is produced check the type of
output selected. It may be that the optional unit required for that type of output is not
installed. For example BIN # selected with no AR-MS1 installed.
B)  
  Pressing the Information key will return to the previous Menu item.
For example, return from Output to Duplex press INFORMATION.
B) Pressing BACK/C to the main menu item.
For example, in Output press BACK/C returns to Test Print 0

PCU Self Print
This mode is used to print by using only the PCU data and firmware without using the print controller.
This enables better fault diagnosis by isolating the PCU from the controller.
 Execution Procedure
1. Remove the print controller and the rear panel
2. Short CN22 on the PCU pwb
3. Enter diag mode (Menu/OK power on). If the power is already on
reset the PCU by pressing SW1. Press the Menu/OK keys
together.
4. The machine is now in diag mode
5. Press the Menu key to select self print mode
6. Set the self print pattern from 1-40 and execute.
Caution Do not try to select other than self print patterns 1-40
