The 100K Drum (AR-451DR) must be installed in the machine.

4)
The 100K Drum Seperation Pawls included in the AR-451DR must be
installed in the machine.
The new style Drum Seperation Pawls can be identified by a white mark as
shown in the picture below.
Note: Initially the new style Drum Seperation Pawls will only be included in the package
of the AR-451DR.  A new part (DUNT-0038YSZZ) includes four pawls in a pack.
Do not use the old style Drum Seperation Pawls included in the AR-450KC kit.
Using the old style Drum Seperator Pawls will reduce the life of the 100K Drum.
The new style Drum Seperation Pawls will be included in the AR-450KC from
June 2002 production.
Important:
It is highly recommended that the developer also be replaced at the time of
adopting the AR-451DR 100K PM Cycle so that the drum and developer
maintenance cycles coencide with each other. If the machine is in the middle of
its developer life cycle, you may elect to use the 50K drum untill the developer life
is over. At that time you may change to the 100K PM cycle. If no 50K drums are
available to you, it is recommended that you replace the DV when changing to the
100K PM cycle.
To change from the 100K PM Cycle to the 50K PM Cycle, change all the settings
in step 2 to the 50K settings and install the 50K Drum and Drum Seperation
Pawls.
