DELIVERY OPERATIONS OF THE TRAY 3 UNIT.
1.Measure to improve the performance of the stapler unit.

2.General:
The measures described below have been carried out as action to alleviate problems such
as staples becoming jammed which have occurred in the stapler unit.
3.Description:
1.Measures which have been carried out as action to alleviate problems of staples
becoming jammed.
[1] A change has been carried out in the shape of the clinch wing in the anvil section.
(Please refer to figure 1 for details concerning this action.)
[2] A change has been carried out in the clearance of the anvil section. The clearance
of 0.5 has been changed to a clearance of 0.9. This action has been carried out as
a measure to make the staples less prone to jamming.
(Please refer to figure 1 for details concerning this action.)
[3] A change has been carried out in the shape of the wing movement cam. This action
has been carried out as a measure to facilitate the delivery of the staples by
creating a double action.
(Please refer to action A2 of figure 2 for details concerning this action.)
2.Measures which have been carried out as action to alleviate problems of copy
paper sagging.
[4] A change has been carried out in the shape of the copy paper retaining pressure
section. (Please refer to action B of figure 2 for details concerning this action.)
[5] The cover of the anvil has been shaved down. (Please refer to action B of figure 2
for details concerning this action.)

3.Measures which have been carried out as action to alleviate problems of staple
misfires (no staple) which are caused when the staple cartridge is loaded into the
machine such that it is directed upward.
[6] A change has been carried out in the shape of the insert guidance groove of the
staple cartridge. (Please refer to action C of figure 2 for details concerning this
action.)
[7] The addition of a plate spring has been carried out to maintain the proper position
of the staple driving plate spring. (Please refer to action C of figure 2 for details
concerning this action.)
[8] A change has been carried out in the shape of the portion of the staple cartridge
which comes in contact with the staple sheet during staple cartridge insert
operations.
(Please refer to action C of figure 2 for details concerning this action.)
4.Measure which has been carried out as action to improve the level of noise from
the motor. 
(Please refer to action D of figure 3 for details concerning this action.)
[9] The addition of a molt has been carried out to the motor shade mylar sheet.
5.Measure which has been carried out as action to stabilize the movement of the
opening and closing interlock switch of the stapler section cover. 
(Please refer to
action E of figure 3 for details concerning this action.)
[10] Action has been carried out to increase the strength of the ribs in the actuator
attachment section of the F cover, and a change has been carried out in the size
of the attachment hole. The new hole is smaller than the old one.
6.Measure which has been carried out as action to decrease the looseness of the
thrust of the guide paddle upper.

concerning this action.)
[11] A change in the shape of the fulcrum of the guide has been carried out as a
measure to decrease the looseness from 2mm to 0.7 mm.
